Psychiatric Evaluations

In the initial appointment, we will be asking questions to get to know you better. We will specifically want to know more about:

  • what is going on currently
  • historic psychiatric symptoms
  • previous treatments, medications, & therapies
  • medical and substance use history
  • social and family history

Based on your answers during the evaluation, we will form a diagnosis and then discuss treatment options. Often times evaluations result in recommendations for therapy and/or medications. If therapy is indicated, a referral to a therapist will be provided. If medications are suggested, we will review options, risks, benefits and drug-drug interactions.
